We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on a multifaceted role within our Corporate Bank Technology division. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, business understanding, project leadership, and people management skills to drive strategic initiatives and deliver robust technology solutions for our corporate banking business and clients.
Responsibilities
- Platform Leadership & Strategy:
- Co-lead the strategic direction, roadmap, and evolution of corporate banking technology platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and architectural principles
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other platform leads to define and prioritize platform capabilities and features
- Drive innovation and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance platform efficiency, scalability, and security
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate banking platforms, from conception to retirement
- Project Management & Delivery Excellence:
- Lead and manage complex technology projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
- Facilitate requirements workshops to engage various stakeholders, eliciting, validating, and documenting comprehensive business and functional requirements
- Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from initial definition to testing and deployment
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and technology teams, effectively bridging communication gaps and translating business needs into technical specifications
- Proactively identify and resolve project impediments, escalating critical issues to senior management as needed
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to all relevant stakeholders
- Business Analysis & Solution Design:
- Possess excellent business and technical subject matter knowledge in corporate banking operations, products, and services
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and automation
- Leverage subject matter experts within T&O to design structured, well-thought-through, and innovative technology solutions
- Become an effective bridge between users and technology, ensuring that implemented solutions truly meet business needs and user requirements with no gaps
- Proactively help solution for users when a business problem requires a technical solution, especially during pre-project stages and feasibility studies
- Respond promptly to issues raised, demonstrating a strong understanding of business, operational, and technical considerations to recommend sound and practical solutions
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of business analysts, project associates, and technical specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth and development of team members
- Allocate team resources effectively across various projects and initiatives, ensuring optimal utilization and balanced workloads
- Champion best practices in business analysis, project management, and software development methodologies within the team
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements by the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in corporate banking technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. (e.g. application lead or platform lead)
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with various IT tools, technologies, and platforms relevant to corporate banking operations, including but not limited to core banking systems, payment platforms, trade finance systems, and lending solutions. Strong understanding of system architecture and integration patterns
- Corporate Banking & Integration Expertise: Deep understanding of corporate banking operations, products (e.g., Cash Management, Trade Finance, Loans, Treasury), and intricate integration with external partners, regulatory bodies, and internal systems
- Project Management & SDLC Mastery: Proven track record in leading and managing complex projects using Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies. Strong understanding and practical experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a significant advantage
- Business Analysis & Solutioning Acumen: Exceptional ability to analyze complex business situations, elicit and document detailed business requirements (BRDs), and translate them into clear functional specifications (FSDs). Demonstrated ability to design effective technology solutions that align with business strategy. Experience with business workflow management systems
- Leadership & People Management: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including performance management, mentoring, and talent development. Ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Superior collaboration, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills. Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to senior business executives
- Analytical & Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and propose innovative solutions
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Tooling Familiarity: Advanced proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other relevant platforms for task tracking, documentation, and reporting
