The Role:
The Volunteer Engagement Executive coordinates volunteer recruitment, deployment, engagement, and retention to support eldercare programmes. The role works closely with volunteers, community partners, and internal teams to ensure effective programme delivery, including volunteer-supported befriending initiatives for seniors. The incumbent supports meaningful volunteer experiences while ensuring compliance with organisational and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Engagement
- Coordinate the end-to-end volunteer lifecycle, including sourcing, onboarding, deployment and retention.
- Match volunteers skills, availability and interests to appropriate eldercare programmes (e.g. befriending, escorting, outreach activities).
- Cordinate volunteer recruitment activities through community networks, schools, corporates and volunteer platforms.
- Facilitate volunteer briefings, training sessions and engagement initiatives to support service quality.
- Support orientation and refresher sessions for volunteers involved in befriending programmes.
- Coordinate the matching of befriending volunteers and seniors based on programme requirements, language preferences, availability and location.
- Monitor volunteer participation and engagement trends to improve volunteer experience and continuity.
- Conduct regular check-ins with volunteers and gather feedback on volunteering experiences.
- Support volunteer recognition and retention initiatives.
Event Support
- Support planning and delivery of volunteer-supported eldercare programmes, including centre-based and community outreach activities.
- Cordinate volunteer deployment with internal teams to meet operational and client needs
- Ensure smooth programme execution through effective scheduling, logistics coordination and on-site support where required
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Engage community partners (e.g. grassroots organisations, corporates, schools) to support volunteer initiatives for seniors
- Maintain regular communication with partners and volunteers to sustain engagement and participation
- Identify opportunities to support partnerships that enhance volunteer involvement in eldercare programmes
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, attendance, and deployment data in organisational systems
- Track and analyse volunteer participation and programme data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare reports on volunteer utilisation, engagement levels, and programme outcomes
Governance,Safety & Compliance
- Apply organisational policies and standard operating procedures in volunteer engagement
- Ensure volunteers are briefed on safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding requirements when supporting elderly clients
- Escalate concerns observed through volunteer engagements, including befriending activities, to the relevant supervisor.
- Support risk management practices to ensure safe and appropriate volunteer involvement in programmes
