Job Description

The Volunteer and Merchandise Executive support the implementation and day-to-day coordination of SPCA Singapore's volunteer programmes and merchandise initiatives. Working closely with the Volunteer and Merchandise Manager, this role assists in strengthening volunteer engagement and ensuring the smooth operations of SPCA's merchandise activities that support fundraising and public outreach.

The Executive will coordinate with internal departments, volunteers, and external partners to support volunteer recruitment, engagement, and programme administration, as well as assist with the operational aspects of SPCA's merchandise initiatives.

This position is ideal for individuals seeking stable, long-term part-time work in a meaningful environment supporting animal welfare.

Work Schedule

  • 2 days per week
  • 8 hours per day
  • Fixed and consistent weekly schedule
  • Long-term permanent part-time position

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Volunteer Programme Coordination
  • Support the Volunteer and Merchandise Manager in implementing volunteer recruitment initiatives and outreach activities.
  • Assist in re-engaging inactive or passive volunteers through communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Support the review and improvement of volunteer management processes and administrative systems.
  • Assist with coordinating volunteer onboarding, training sessions, and recognition programmes.
  • Work with internal departments to understand volunteer needs and support volunteer deployment where required.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records and assist with scheduling and coordination of volunteer activities.
  • Support engagement with volunteers and gather feedback to help improve volunteer programmes.
  • Assist in coordinating volunteer partnerships with community organisations, corporate partners, social service organisations, and government agencies.
  • Merchandise Operations Support
  • Support the Volunteer and Merchandise Manager in the development and coordination of SPCA merchandise initiatives that contribute to fundraising and brand awareness.
  • Assist in sourcing, coordinating, and developing merchandise items in collaboration with volunteers and internal teams.
  • Support the preparation of basic sales reports and assist with tracking merchandise performance.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock tracking, and maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the SPCA Merchandise Store.
  • Respond to customer enquiries related to merchandise sales.
  • Assist in managing consignments, bulk orders, and merchandise distribution to external organisations.
  • Support outreach efforts to potential partners for merchandise collaborations and external sales opportunities such as pop-ups, corporate partnerships, and mall activations.
  • General Support
  • Provide operational and administrative support for SPCA-led events, campaigns, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Assist the Volunteer and Merchandise Manager in coordinating volunteers for SPCA programmes and events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Others

  • Providing support for ad-hoc events and SPCA-led projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum A-Levels or in any related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar position
  • Able to work independently and in teams, meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate well in written and spoken English.
  • Passion for animal welfare
  • Prior experience in volunteer management
