VMware VCF / NSX-T DevOps Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced VMware DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T/NSX, virtualization, automation, and infrastructure operations. The role involves designing, implementing, automating, and supporting VMware-based private cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware VCF environments.
- Implement and manage VMware NSX-T/NSX networking and security components.
- Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, and virtual infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
- Develop and maintain automation using PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Support VCF lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and manage networking, security policies, load balancing, and micro-segmentation using NSX.
- Integrate VMware infrastructure with CI/CD and DevOps processes where required.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and ensure platform stability.
- Collaborate with cloud, network, security, and application teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in VMware/Virtualization or Infrastructure/DevOps roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Strong experience with VMware NSX-T / NSX.
- Good knowledge of vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and VMware clusters.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Understanding of networking concepts including VLAN, VXLAN, routing, switching, and load balancing.
- Experience with VMware upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
