We are seeking a proactive, organised, and student-centred academic professional to support programme coordination, academic administration, and studio teaching within our Contemporary Art, Visual Arts, and Design Foundation programme.
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the delivery and facilitation of Diploma, and Advanced Diploma-level modules, which may include Contemporary Art Foundation, Studio Practice (Drawing & Painting), Inter-Arts Disciplinary Studies, Communication Across Cultures, Photography & Video Art, Portfolio Development, and the Capstone Project / Exhibition.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and consultation sessions.
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and developing learning resources.
- Facilitating project-based, interdisciplinary, and applied learning activities.
- Supervising student capstone projects, research, and industry-related projects.
- Supporting student presentations, formative critiques, and portfolio development.
- Providing academic mentoring and constructive feedback.
- Encouraging collaborative, self-directed, and reflective learning practices.
- Supporting the integration of contemporary industry trends, digital art tools, AI application and emerging technologies into teaching and learning.
- Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 15 teaching hours per week.
Programme Coordination & Academic Administration
The Programme Coordinator will also support operational and academic coordination functions, including:
- Coordinate module scheduling, lecturer deployment, and classroom operations.
- Liaise with lecturers, students, admissions, and academic management on programme matters.
- Support curriculum planning, module documentation, and academic records management.
- Assist in assessment coordination, moderation, and academic reporting processes.
- Support EduTrust, internal quality assurance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Assist in programme review, curriculum improvement, and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Support student engagement, progression monitoring, and retention efforts.
- Coordinate industry engagement, student career preparation, and external project art collaborations.
- Work closely with the academic management team on operational continuity and programme development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Contemporary Art Practice, Art Education, Design, Art History, or related creative disciplines.
- Teaching experience in higher education, institutional studio environments, or adult learning environments is preferred.
- Active artistic practice or experience in the contemporary art sector (e.g., gallery exhibition, curation, or creative freelancing) is a distinct advantage.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with project-based, and interdisciplinary learning approaches.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and administrative abilities.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced academic environment.
- Industry practitioners with relevant professional portfolio and relevant administrative experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Additional Information
This role combines both academic teaching and programme coordination responsibilities. Candidates should therefore be comfortable balancing classroom delivery, student engagement, academic administration, operational coordination, and quality assurance responsibilities within a higher education setting.
