Video Editor

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce engaging visual content for digital, social media, corporate, and promotional platforms. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and production team to edit raw footage into polished final videos that align with brand identity and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for social media, marketing campaigns, events, advertisements, interviews, and corporate communications.
• Assemble raw footage, audio, graphics, and effects into high-quality final productions.
• Perform colour correction, sound balancing, transitions, subtitles, and motion graphics where required.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, to understand creative briefs and project goals.
• Manage and organize video assets, project files, and archives efficiently.
• Ensure all projects are completed within deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
• Adapt video content for different formats and platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, websites, and presentations.
• Stay updated on current editing trends, storytelling techniques, and platform requirements.
• Assist during video shoots when necessary, including setup and media management.

Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or relevant certification in Film, Media, Communications, Multimedia, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation software such as Adobe After Effects is an advantage.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, visual composition, and audio editing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating editing capability is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in social media content creation.
• Familiarity with photography and videography workflows.
• Understanding of branding and marketing communication.
• Knowledge of current digital media trends and audience engagement strategies.
