The role is responsible for executing and managing marketing and planning activities for non‑Japanese corporate clients, with accountability for the quality, coordination, and execution of proposals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading short‑ to mid‑/long‑term strategic planning for the corporate banking department in collaboration with internal partners, leveraging a deep understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each relevant team and department
- Establishing and monitoring department‑level KPIs and budgets through active communication with management and local marketing teams
- Conducting direct marketing and sales activities targeting non‑Japanese corporate clients across Asia, as well as Japanese corporate clients where relevant
- Independently conceptualizing marketing and planning initiatives, including drafting proposal content
- Organizing and facilitating departmental meetings and conferences to align strategies at the department level and foster a shared understanding
- Acting as a central coordinator across internal stakeholders, including coverage teams, planning units, product teams, overseas headquarters departments, and group companies outside Singapore
- Continuously monitoring market, client, and peer developments within assigned countries and incorporating insights into proposal planning and execution
- Communicating with senior internal counterparts in relevant departments to achieve agreed objectives
- Building and maintaining regular communication channels with local corporate banking teams across Asia to support effective marketing activities
- Providing in‑office training and guidance to junior colleagues to enhance their marketing and planning skillsets
Key requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance
- Knowledge of financial and management accounting, as well as banking regulations in Asian markets
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate banking
- Business fluency in both English and Japanese is essential, as this role requires the ability to write and communicate effectively with our Tokyo office.
