The VP-AI driven Procurement Innovation & Sustainability is a senior leadership rolewithin Marcura, responsible for shaping and driving the strategic transformation of procurement practices across the organisation. The role ensures that innovation, sustainability, and AI-driven approaches are embedded into procurement processes and solutions. It provides executive-level leadership and direction, actively contributes to senior leadership discussions and budget planning, and represents Procurement Innovation & Sustainability as part of the organisational decision-making body. The role also builds strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry leaders, ensuring Marcura maintains its market leadership in procurement excellence and sustainable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide executive-levelleadership in AI powered procurement innovation and sustainability, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Budget & Resource Management: Lead budget planning,allocation, and forecasting for Buyer Growth, ensuring resources deliver measurable outcomes.
- Senior Leadership Engagement: Represent ProcurementInnovation & Sustainability in leadership forums, contributing to corporate strategy and decision-making.
- Solution & Portfolio Oversight: Oversee design, delivery, and adoption of solutions
- Sustainability Leadership: Drive sustainable procurementinitiatives, including waste management, supplier ESG integration, and Scope 3 emissions measurement.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build direct relationships with strategic client leaders lead procurement groups/forums to advance high-value initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product,Operations, and Data teams to ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and client-focused.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Marcura at industry conferences, panels, and associations, positioning the company as a leader in procurement innovation.
Job Requirement:
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field
Work Experience:
- Minimum 15 years in procurement, supply chain, or maritime solutions, including 7+ years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven experience in procurement innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
- Strong track record of budget ownership, financial planning, and resource management.
- Experience engaging with executive clients and industry leaders to drive procurement transformation initiatives
Skills and Knowledge:
- Expert knowledge of procure-to-pay processes,procurement innovation, and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong leadership, people management, and mentoringskills.
- In-depth understanding of sustainability practices,Scope 3 emissions, and ESG in procurement.
- Ability to integrate AI and digital technologies intoprocurement and compliance practices.
