Vice President of Global Operational Finance -Millennium Hotels and Resorts (Corporate Singapore Office)

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
The Vice President of Global Operational Finance is responsible for leading and optimizing the financial performance of all properties within the group's portfolio. This role ensures strong financial governance, operational efficiency, cost control, performance reporting, and alignment between property-level finance teams and corporate strategy.
This position works closely with Operations, Commercial, Revenue Management, Procurement, and Asset Management teams to drive profitability, enhance margins, and support sustainable growth across owned, managed, and franchised properties globally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operational finance strategy across all regions and properties.
Partner with Regional Heads and Operations leadership to improve EBITDA and GOP margins.
Oversee property-level performance and ensure financial discipline.
Establish best practices in financial controls, cost management, and reporting.
Performance Management & Analysis
Develop and monitor KPIs
Conduct monthly operational performance reviews.
Identify revenue leakage, inefficiencies, and margin improvement opportunities.
Benchmark property performance across markets.
Assess results of capital expenditure post completion or acquisition.
Coordinate with Group Finance and Regional Finance teams on reporting matters, including valuation of properties for periodic impairment test.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for hotel operations.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in forecasting methodologies.
Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis.
Financial Controls & Governance
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Oversee audit processes and risk mitigation at property level.
Ensure all audit issues are followed up and resolved promptly.
Standardize policies, procedures and reporting frameworks across regions.
Cost Optimization & Procurement Alignment
Oversee procurement to optimize supplier contracts and cost structures.
Monitor labour productivity and departmental cost ratios.
Drive initiatives for operational efficiency and margin enhancement.
Systems & Process Improvement
Lead financial systems enhancements.
Improve automation, reporting dashboards, and data analytics capabilities.
Ensure consistency in chart of accounts and reporting structures globally.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a key finance partner to senior leadership and regional heads.
Support EXCO, BOD and CDL reporting where applicable.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing global operational finance team.
Build strong succession planning and talent development programs.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and performance.
Change management and transformation capability with high commercial acumen.
Able to guide and provide training to new DOFs and knowledge of local legislation and practices is preferred
Good interpersonal skills and a team leader. Able to travel on request and as required by the role.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
12–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
Significant experience in hospitality and/or multi-site operational environments.
Strong understanding of hotel KPIs (RevPAR, GOP, NOI, etc.).
Experience managing finance teams across multiple countries.
Proven track record of margin improvement and operational optimization.
Strategic financial leadership in a multi-site structure
Deep operational understanding of hotel performance drivers
Advanced financial modelling and data analytics
Strong stakeholder management and executive presence
As an integral member and leader of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, the Vice President of Global Operational Finance must exemplify the highest standards of honesty, integrity and discretion. The individual should be highly confident of their abilities to lead, motivate, and drive an efficient team and be considered a detail-oriented person who can tackle complex assignments. S/he will need to be a consummate team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills up and down the organizational chart. The candidate must be a leader, directing a group towards a common vision.
COMPENSATION
The compensation will include competitive base salary and bonus and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
