Job Description

Our client is an institutional digital asset trading firm providing spot, derivatives, structured products, and fiat on/off-ramping to professional counterparties. They are hiring a Vice President, Business Development to originate new institutional clients and directly drive trading revenues.

This is a 100% hunter role with clear revenue ownership, focused on onboarding active trading clients rather than account maintenance.

Job Description:

Institutional Client Acquisition

  • Source, pitch, and onboard new institutional trading clients, including:
  • Hedge funds (crypto-native and multi-strategy)
  • Family offices
  • Asset managers
  • Proprietary trading firms
  • Corporates with treasury or hedging needs
  • Brokers and OTC desks
  • Personally manage onboarding through KYC, account activation, and first trade execution

Product & Revenue Focus

  • Sell and facilitate usage of:
  • Spot crypto trading
  • Perpetuals and options
  • Structured yield and hedging products
  • Fiat on/off-ramp and settlement solutions
  • Work directly with traders and structurers to price trades, structure bespoke solutions, and execute client flows
  • Grow client trading volumes, balances, and product penetration post-onboarding

Sales Execution & Targets

  • Own quarterly onboarding targets, trading volume targets, and revenue KPIs
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified, revenue-generating prospects
  • Track deal progress, forecasts, and closed revenues via CRM

Market & Client Intelligence

  • Speak confidently to clients about crypto market structure, liquidity conditions, pricing, and volatility
  • Advise clients on product selection based on trading strategies and risk appetite
  • Relay client feedback directly to product, trading, and risk teams

Requirements:

  • Min 7 years of experience in institutional sales or business development, gained within:
  • Crypto / digital assets
  • FX or derivatives sales
  • Prime brokerage, OTC desks, or trading platforms
  • Proven ability to originate new institutional relationships and convert them into active, revenue-producing clients
  • Experience selling trading or investment products (not enterprise SaaS)
  • Comfortable discussing markets, pricing, and trade execution with professional investors
  • Existing buy-side or trading-client network preferred
  • Highly self-directed, comfortable with targets, P&L contribution, and accountability
