Summary of the Position

The primary focus of this position is to drive the strategic growth and overall management of the Singapore entity, while overseeing the performance, governance,and development of its subsidiary within the APAC region.

The business scope includes management consulting and IT consulting/implementation,and the incumbent is expected to possess strong expertise across both domains,as well as proven leadership capabilities in organizational and human resource management, including experience managing large teams of over 50 professionals.

In this role, the incumbent will provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Singapore subsidiary, ensuring alignment with group strategy, regional governance standards, and supporting the achievement of business objectives across APAC.

As part of a group headquartered in Japan, the incumbent is required to maintain close coordination with HQ and regional stakeholders, and must be able to communicate effectively in Japanese.

Job Description

Business Development

  • Establish the mission and vision of the entity.
  • Establish strategies to realize the vision of the entity, show and share it with the subordinates.
  • Communicate with existing clients and identify opportunities for new projects.
  • Expand client base - not only Japanese clients but also non-Japanese clients.

Organization Management

. Lead and oversee the Singapore subsidiary to drive performance and ensure the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

. Ensure alignment with group policies, regional strategies, and corporate governance standards.

Human Resource Management

  • Oversee and support talent management within the Singapore subsidiary, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project requirements.
  • Guide the formation of project teams, ensuring appropriate allocation of consultants based on expertise, experience, and role requirements.
  • Foster a work environment that supports continuous learning and independent growth of team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support individual development and career progression.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members to understand their strengths, identify development areas, and support their growth.

Governance & Regional Oversight (APAC)

. Establish and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures across APAC entities.
.Ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and group governance standards.
. Monitor and report on business performance, risks, and compliance matters to HQ and regional leadership.
. Drive consistency in operational processes, financial management, and reporting across the region.
. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and governance improvements.
. Support audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews to strengthen organizational controls.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university.
  • Advanced Degree such as Master's Degree (M.A./M.S.) may be advantageous in management/business administration.

Past Experiences

  • At least 15 years experience in senior level management consulting and IT consulting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading large-scale teams (50+ members) of Management and IT Consultants.
  • Establishing continuous relationship with clients and obtaining projects from the clients.
  • Financial analysis and business planning experiences.
  • Has in-depth knowledge and experiences in business management , human resource management and specific business process.
  • Industrial expertise (deep knowledge of specific industry) of several industries based on both education and experiences.

Language

  • Fluent business level Japanese is required to liaise with clients and counterparts in Japan.

Travel

  • Domestic/international travels are required up to 50%.
