Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Report financial results and provide insights to the CEO and Board, supporting strategic decisionmaking.
- Lead consolidated group reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of grouplevel financials, analyses, and variance explanations.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance for new programmes, projects, and systems, including costing and budgeting.
- Lead the annual budget and forecast processes to align financial planning with company objectives.
- Implement a Finance Business Partner model to support programme operations and drive financial accountability across the organization.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Implement and maintain an effective financial control system, policies, and procedures.
- Manage working capital, cashflow, and financial risk to ensure operational stability.
- Ensure accurate consolidation of subsidiaries or business units for monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting cycles.
- Oversee ERP system migration and ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place.
Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, funding, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure grouplevel compliance with statutory reporting standards, audit requirements, and consolidation principles (e.g., IFRS/SFRS).
- Engage and maintain relationships with bankers, external auditors, sector regulators, grant makers, and key stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting career growth and a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with shared services and internal teams to ensure seamless financial support for business operations.
Special Projects
- Execute delegated tasks and initiatives from the CEO, supporting strategic priorities and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Current membership of a relevant professional accounting body (e.g., CPA, ACCA) and an advanced degree in accountancy or finance.
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible finance experience in a major company or division of a large corporation.
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of Singapore financial law, including tax regulations, compliance, and best practices.
- Experience in group reporting, consolidation, and statutory group financial statements.
- Proven P&L ownership of a complex, multi-site business.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and financial/ERP systems.
- Experience in retail and F&B sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive execution and deliver business impact.
