The Vice President, Engineering leads Client's global engineering organization, accountable for transforming their technology foundation into a modern, platform-driven capability that supports digital self-service, AI-driven, personalized interactions, and scalable global operations. This role partners closely with key group functions and regional business teams, ensuring alignment to group priorities, client commitments, and operational excellence across all markets to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes at global scale.
As avisionary and hands-on leader, the VP will define and execute Client's engineering evolution into a modern, AI-enabled, platform-driven ecosystem.This includes advancing digital experiences, servicing, and partner integrations, while embedding intelligence, automation, and real-time orchestration into every layer of the platform. A key component is establishing a highly integrated, API-driven architecture to enable seamless partner connectivity and real-time service delivery.
The VP will lead globally distributed teams, implement modern engineering practices including SAFe 6.0, and ensure alignment across Digital Experience,Integration, AI Platform & Intelligence, and Enterprise Data Services to deliver scalable and consistent solutions.
Thi srole also drives a high-performance engineering culture, supports Client's AI-enabled model, and ensures platform reliability, performance, and security across enterprise systems, digital platforms, and payment ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
. Own and execute global engineering strategy, roadmap, and operating model
.Rationalize legacy systems and define platform/domain ownership
. Lead global engineering teams ensuring delivery excellence and accountability
. Drive Agile at scale (SAFe 6.0) and consistent engineering governance
. Build AI-enabled engineering capabilities and intelligent platform services
.Oversee end-to-end engineering across development, platform, DevOps, QA, IAM,and integrations
. Lead cloud-native architecture on Microsoft Azure (server less, APIs, distributed systems)
. Own web, mobile, and messaging architecture evolution
. Drive modern frontend and composable architecture adoption
.Ensure omni channel, personalized customer experiences
.Maintain excellence across Java, Node.js, .NET, and API-first architectures
.Ensure platform scalability, resilience, security, and performance
.Partner with Data and Enterprise Services for real-time capabilities
. Drive integration across Salesforce, digital platforms, and enterprise systems
.Establish Engineering COEs and foster high-performance culture
.Provide leadership, mentorship, and vendor/ISV management
.Define KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics
.Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, CRM, and Service Delivery
.Support payment integrations including Adyen
.Influence executive stakeholders on technology direction
Required Skills and Knowledge
.Expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and API-first design
.Experience building and scaling global platforms across web, mobile, and integrations
.Strong Microsoft Azure experience (PaaS, serverless, cloud-native patterns)
. Experience designing integrated platforms across enterprise and partner ecosystems
.Strong knowledge of platform engineering, modular architecture, and scalability
.Experience with AI-driven platforms, automation, and real-time decisioning
.Familiarity with AI/ML, conversational AI, and governance
.Strong knowledge of real-time systems and event-driven architectures
.Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation (Azure DevOps, Bitbucket)
.Expertise in observability and performance tools (Splunk, Site24x7, Uptrends)
.Experience with IAM (Okta, Auth0)
.Strong knowledge of Java, Node.js, .NET, mobile platforms, React Native
.Experience implementing Agile at scale (SAFe 6.0)
.Strong architectural thinking and commercial mindset
.Experience managing vendors and technology partners
.Strong leadership with hands-on capability
Work Experience & Qualifications
. 15+years in software engineering, including VP-level leadership of global teams
.Proven track record in scaling engineering teams and enterprise platforms
.Experience leading cloud-native and API-driven transformations
.Experience driving digital-first and AI-enabled business models
.Strong experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional collaboration
.Experience delivering global, customer-facing platforms
.Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, and high-availability systems
.Experience in industries such as travel, fintech, concierge, or digital platforms is a plus
.Strong academic background in Computer Science or related field
