Are you ready to make a significant impact on employee relations in the Asia Pacific region In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing employee relations cases and providing expert advice to business leaders and HR colleagues. Join us to deliver exceptional employee experiences and drive strategic initiatives in a dynamic environment.

As an Vice President, Employee Relations Advisor in the APAC Employee Relations team, you will be responsible for managing employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, and providing sound advice to stakeholders. You will collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, Compliance, and other partners to ensure consistent practices and enhance the employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations matters in APAC, including handling workplace grievances, conducting investigations, and determining disciplinary actions.
  • Provide relevant ER advice to stakeholders in line with JPMC policy, local legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in or drive enabling projects for the APAC ER team and engage in risk and control initiatives.
  • Create a trusted experience for internal clients, enhancing employee experience and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Drive the ER strategy with stakeholders and partners.
  • Collaborate with key clients, including employees, HR Business Partners, and Business Managers, and partners such as HR, Legal, Compliance, and Audit.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HR Advisory, Employee Relations, HR Regulatory Affairs, or Employment Law.
  • Knowledge of Employee Relations policies, practices, and philosophy.
  • Risk and control mindset ability to conduct investigations following protocols.
  • Apply technical knowledge and business acumen for appropriate solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues and trends quickly, paired with strong interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence, for sensitive inquiries.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed, and complex business environment, in particular in international organisations and/or financial services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective influence across all levels, partnering with multiple stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Japanese is required as the role is focused on working with clients in on matters involving employees and managers inJapan.
  • Aptitude to leverage all applicable business data tools and AI in case management and operational efficiencies
