Collaborate with relationship managers, sectors bankers, regional project finance teams and other product teams to originate ECA corporate and project financing opportunities.
Lead / support preparation of pitchbooks and marketing materials.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key ECAs and clients active in APAC.
Assess ECA eligibility, develop financing terms and structures to ensure that risks are adequately mitigated.
Lead ECA application processes, documentation and coordination with clients, lawyers and other financing parties (where applicable).
Provide general support and assistance to relevant teams on ECA related matters.
Contribute to appropriate monitoring of transactions in the ECA portfolio.
Contribute to ongoing development and expansion of the bank's external funding sources and options in relation to ECA-backed financings.
Support the origination and execution of selective non-ECA project finance transactions.
Other duties as may be requested by the Head in support of the Department's ongoing business requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 7 years of banking experience in ECA finance, structured finance and / or project finance.
Track record of originating and/or executing ECA-backed transactions in APAC.
Strong knowledge of corporate and project ECA financing structures.
Strong knowledge across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, energy transition, natural resources in APAC markets.
Strong structuring, analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting.
Proficiency in multiple languages will be advantageous as there will be a need to support communication with non-English-speaking ECAs, around APAC.
