Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth & M&A Strategy
- Develop and implement corporate development initiatives consistent with the long-term strategic plan.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize M&A targets that enhance logistics capabilities, geographic reach, or technology solutions.
- Map the logistics industry landscape to uncover potential partners, divestitures, or acquisition opportunities.
2. Deal Sourcing & Execution
- Lead the entire deal process: sourcing, negotiation, financial modeling, and closing.
- Manage complex contract negotiations and work with legal counsel as required.
- Perform financial analysis and valuation to assess deal feasibility.
3. Due Diligence & Integration
- Orchestrate due diligence processes, analyzing target companies operational efficiency, supply chain technology, vendor relationships, and financial health.
- Work with acquired companies to integrate systems and ensure performance targets are met.
4. Strategic Partnership & Network Expansion
- Develop and nurture partnerships with external logistics stakeholders to support organic growth and joint ventures.
- Maintain a strong network of industry contacts for competitive intelligence.
5. Leadership & Communication
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations and materials to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Act as an analytical resource, partnering with other functions (Operations, Finance, Legal) to solve complex business issues.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of corporate development or M&A experience, with a proven track record in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Logistics MBA preferred.
- Deal Track Record: Proven ability to lead multimillion-dollar transactions, managing the process from sourcing through integration.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of 3PL/4PL operations, international trade lanes, warehouse management systems, and technology trends.
- Analytical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
- Leadership: Strong negotiation abilities and experience working with senior executives and boards
