We are looking for an experienced Vessel Operator for one of our global shipping clients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment where precision, communication, and strategic thinking are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Have good knowledge of vessel operations, conduct all operational activities promptly and professionally ensuring that all obligations and requirements under the charter party contract terms are met.
- Voyage planning, liaising with Master, Agents, Chartering desk, Ship Managers and Head Owners, Bunker suppliers etc.
- Issuance of LOIs in accordance with charter party terms and conditions. This refers both to charters internally and with third parties.
- Liaise with Charterers to ensure smooth operations to avoid disruption and to optimize vessel returns and usage.
- Appoint agents to negotiate and approve port pro-forma disbursements, and third party invoices.
- Maintain our high service level to customers by remaining diligent to details while working with our Agency Network, brokers and agents.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a ship officer or at least 5 years experience in a similar maritime operational role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
