As a Vessel Manager, you will assume full responsibility for the safe operation of a fleet of vessels assigned to you.
Besides day-to-day close monitoring of vessels, you will be required to supervise drydockings and repairs, carry out vessel inspections, conduct technical investigations, ensure certification and documentation of vessels under your charge are up to date and meet international safety standards.
To monitor and control spare parts supply to the vessels. You will judiciously manage budgets allocated to vessels and produce regular reports.
You will attend vessels at port and/or short sailing on scheduled visits and prepare vessel inspection reports. You need to drive safe work culture and inspire the shipboard team.
To objectively analyze and report on performance of shipboard personnel.
Coordinate with Operations, QHSE and Fleet Personnel department in smooth & efficient operation of assigned vessels.
Any other assignments as needed.
Requirements:
Possess Class 1 COC
Minimum 10 years sailing experience.
Minimum 1 years sailing experience as Chief Engineer.
0-3 years of shore based experience in similar capacity.
