Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PCI Express (PCIe) Validation Expert to lead both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation for high-speed storage accelerator products. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end PCIe validation, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with PCIe standards (Gen3/Gen4/Gen5), and seamless interoperability across diverse platforms.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architecture, design, firmware, PHY, and system engineering to define validation strategies, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage PCIe validation strategy and execution across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases
  • Develop comprehensive validation coverage plans, including protocol, link, PHY, power management, and compliance scenarios
  • Drive PCIe link bring-up, training, and tuning across multiple generations (Gen3/4/5/6)
  • Perform in-depth debugging using protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  • Lead PCI-SIG compliance testing, covering both electrical and protocol validation
  • Ensure interoperability with server CPUs from leading vendors
  • Design and enhance automation frameworks using Python and C/C++ to improve validation efficiency
  • Own and manage Functional Circuit Test (FCT) and In-Circuit Test (ICT) processes
  • Lead RMA analysis and work with customers and manufacturing teams to resolve board-level issues
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, design, software, and signal integrity teams
  • Oversee development of test programs and automation scripts
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in system validation within complex SoC environments
  • Deep understanding of PCIe protocol layers (Transaction, Data Link, and Physical), including link training, equalization, and power management
  • Hands-on experience with PCIe analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal integrity tools
  • Proven ability in hardware/software co-debugging
  • Experience with high-speed SerDes tuning and validation methodologies
  • Familiarity with system board design, debugging, and use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
