Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer to lead the design transformation of our product. As the designer, you will shape the entire user experience and interface whilst building a comprehensive design system from the ground up. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on how developers interact with our platform.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, skilled in both user research and interaction design, and thrives in agile, cross-functional teams. Youll have opportunities to design across multiple platforms and touchpoints, and contribute to strategic decisions that shape the products direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process for our developer platform, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity designs and implementation guidelines
- Build and maintain our Product Design System, creating a unified design language that adheres to Government Digital Service Standards
- Develop essential design resources including component libraries, templates, pattern libraries, and documentation to support development teams in implementation
- Work closely with product and technical teams to ensure designs are feasible, maintainable, and meet both user needs and technical requirements
- Establish and document design standards, best practices, and guidelines specific to developer-focused interfaces
- Manage the design system's evolution, including updates, improvements, and maintenance of documentation
- Stay current with developer experience design trends and government digital standards to continuously enhance our platform
What we are looking for
- Preferably degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, graphic design, design research or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Preferably 6+ years experience in UX/UI design work
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro)
- Experience in Design System and Government-to-Business Application Development Experience in Singapore Government or Enterprise-Level projects
- Track record of successful design system implementation
- Understanding of various application development disciplines such as Agile, Product Management (Design and Planning) etc.
- Knowledge of Singapore Government DSS
- Seek self-directed learning to improve yourself by staying current with UX/UI trends, best practices and technology trends
- Partner with project managers, digital business analysts, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders involved in the program to deliver the required UX/UI design deliverables and ensure that the designs are aligned with business objectives and technical constraints
- Proven ability and demonstrate strong commitment to work collaboratively with cross functional teams, senior stakeholders and leadership
- Good communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to all stakeholders
