Key responsibilities include:
- Take charge of coordination works involving civil & structural, architectural and E&M installation interfaces to ensure smooth integration across all disciplines.
- Lead coordination meetings and interface discussions with consultants, specialist contractors and SWC contractors.
- Review design submissions to ensure compliance with design codes, authority requirements and contractual specifications.
- Manage interfaces for the design and construction of tunnelling/transit infrastructure projects, including TFP/TOP processes, design submissions and approval procedures.
- Coordinate with various government authorities, utility agencies and stakeholders for initial site clearance, utility protection, diversion and reinstatement works.
- Coordinate design and construction matters (Civil, Architectural and M&E) with consultants and specialist contractors to obtain timely approval of submissions.
- Manage daily operations relating to utility services such as electricity, gas, water, sewer and telecommunication services to ensure efficient project delivery and compliance with authority regulations.
- Identify and detect underground utility services on site, including supervising construction activities to ensure proper utility protection and damage prevention measures are implemented.
- Liaise with LCDW/TCDW for application and renewal of NCEs and other authority-related submissions.
- Supervise utility teams in carrying out trial trench investigations, pipe laying and related utility works.
- Plan and coordinate with utility agencies, authorities and stakeholders on utility diversion and reinstatement activities.
- Respond to utility outages and emergencies to minimise service disruption and ensure timely restoration.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies for relocation of street furniture and implementation of traffic diversion works, including traffic lights, street lights, OG boxes and related infrastructure.
- Ensure all coordination, utility and interface works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and regulatory standards.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with a recognised Engineering Degree, and at least 5 years of experience in managing Civil & Structural, Architectural and/or E&M Building Services works for projects of similar scale, complexity and nature of work.
- Experienced in managing interfaces for the design and construction of transit/infrastructure projects, with full understanding of the design approval process as well as BCA TFP/TOP procedures.
- Proven experience in coordinating and managing interface works involving civil, structural, architectural and system-wide contractors (SWCs).
- Strong experience liaising and coordinating with utility agencies, government authorities, consultants and stakeholders for utility diversion, protection, reinstatement and authority approvals.
- Familiar with utility coordination, underground utility detection, traffic diversion arrangements and authority submission procedures.
- Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination teams and site operations effectively.
