Utilities & Maintenance Engineer / Senior Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Utilities & Maintenance Engineer / Senior Engineer to lead, manage, and continuously improve utilities, plant maintenance, and calibration functions. This role reporting to the Engineering Manager and carries both technical leadership and people management responsibilities, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance of all utility systems and production equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering expertise, sound judgement, and a structured management approach, combined with a hands-on understanding of plant operations. This role requires strategic planning, effective resource management, cross-functional collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with operational excellence and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilitie

s1. Utilities & Equipment Managemen

• tProvide overall leadership and accountability for plant utilities and maintenance operations, covering all critical utility systems and production equipment required for continuous manufacturing operations
• .Ensure optimal performance, availability, and lifecycle management of utility system and production equipment in line with business needs

.2. Maintenance Strategy & Executio

• nDevelop, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and control maintenance costs
• .Ensure maintenance activities are effectively planned, scheduled, and executed with minimal disruption to production

.3. Reliability & Performance Improvemen

• tMonitor equipment condition, performance trends, and inspection results to identify risks, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities
• .Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency

.4. Systems, Calibration & Continuous Improvemen

• tEstablish, review, and continuously improve maintenance and calibration programs, including

s- Reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiative

• sChampion best practices, standardization, and data-driven decision-making across maintenance operations

.5. Documentation, Compliance & Audit Readines

• sEnsure comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date maintenance documentation, including work instructions, risk assessments, calibration records, utility logs, and service reports
• .Maintain a high level of audit readiness and support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards

.6. Budgeting & Resource Managemen

• tSupport or lead the preparation, control, and monitoring of annual maintenance and utilities budgets
• .Forecast operational and capital expenditures, manage spare parts and consumables inventory, and evaluate cost-saving or efficiency-enhancing opportunities
• .Manage and coordinate external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and value

• tProvide leadership, technical direction, coaching, and performance management for maintenance and utilities technicians

• nWork closely with plant management, production, quality and EHS to align maintenance priorities with operational and business objectives
• .Act as a technical advisor for plant upgrades, modifications, and new equipment or system installations

• tEnsure all maintenance and utility activities are conducted in strict compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements

Qualifications & Skil

• lsBachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline preferred
• ).Minimum 710 years of relevant experience in utilities, maintenance, and plant engineering within a manufacturing or process environmen
• t.Demonstrated experience in technical roles with leadership or supervisory responsibilit
• y.Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation system
