We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Urban Planner to support the planning, design, and development of large-scale residential, mixed-use, industrial, and community projects. This role focuses on land use analysis, zoning compliance, master planning, infrastructure coordination, and strategic development recommendations.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in city planning, regulatory frameworks, and development strategy with the ability to evaluate growth opportunities, optimize land use, and support high-impact urban projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land use, zoning, and regulatory analysis for development opportunities
- Prepare feasibility studies, entitlement strategies, and planning reports
- Develop master plans, site plans, and community planning recommendations
- Assess infrastructure, transportation, environmental, and community impacts
- Collaborate with architects, developers, engineers, and municipal stakeholders
- Support rezoning, permitting, and planning approval processes
- Analyze demographic, market, and economic trends influencing urban development
- Recommend sustainable, efficient, and scalable planning solutions
- Present planning strategies to internal teams, government agencies, and clients
- Monitor evolving municipal regulations, growth policies, and urban planning trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Regional Planning, Real Estate Development, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in urban planning, land development, or municipal planning
- Strong knowledge of zoning laws, land entitlement, and development regulations
- Experience with GIS, CAD, or urban planning software preferred
- Familiarity with infrastructure planning, transportation systems, and sustainability principles
- Strong research, analytical, and strategic problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale master-planned communities or mixed-use developments
- Knowledge of smart city, PropTech, or AI-assisted planning tools
- Financial feasibility understanding related to land development
- Experience in international or high-growth urban markets is a plus
