About the Role
Responsibilities
- Identifying new potential customers in different sectors and developing them into business opportunities.
- Presenting WEA products (mainly SMC battery & Chloride) to customers during meetings.
- Reviewing customer inquiries and technical specifications.
- Working with Chloride, other vendors, and the service manager to ensure all offers meet commercial and technical requirements (including pricing, testing and commissioning, site works, delivery schedules, terms and conditions, performance bonds, etc.).
- Preparing and submitting quotations to customers via email or online portals and handling technical clarifications if any.
- Following up on submitted offers.
- Leading price negotiations with customers and vendors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Arranging and attending kick-off meetings to ensure customers and the service manager clearly understand and align with project requirements.
- Upon receiving orders from customers, handing them over to the UPS project team for processing.
- Following up with Chloride and other vendors on delivery schedules.
- Working with the inside sales coordinator to arrange shipments and updating customers when necessary.
- Supporting the service manager with miscellaneous services such as applying for clearance and Jurong Island Passes.
- Providing your superior with an updated sales forecast on a weekly basis.
- Managing the existing Chloride installed base to generate sales revenue by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and spare parts to customers.
- Following up on service maintenance contracts and updating the service manager accordingly.
- Identifying business opportunities for UPS/DC chargers/battery replacements and attending site surveys to ensure new systems are suitable and compatible with existing installations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
- 8+ years of sales experience
Sales & Business Skills
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to present to clients, management, and partners.
Technical Skills (if relevant to industry)
- Knowledge of the products (e.g., electrical systems, UPS).
- Understanding of project requirements and specifications.
