Unix L3

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and administer UNIX/Linux servers across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Perform OS security hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
• Configure system services, networking, storage, and high-availability environments.
• Provide L3 infrastructure support for project deployments, application onboarding, and production releases.
• Develop Shell/Python automation scripts for server provisioning and operational activities.
• Implement configuration management, standardization, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Collaborate with application, database, network, cloud, and security teams for infrastructure readiness.
• Prepare technical design documents, build documents, SOPs, runbooks, and disaster recovery documentation.
• Support deployment, cutover, capacity/performance analysis, and knowledge transfer activities.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux/UNIX Administration, particularly RHEL and Oracle Linux.
• Experience in UNIX/Linux server build, configuration, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
• Strong Shell Scripting and Python automation skills.
• Experience with Veritas Cluster / VCS, FSS, High Availability, and Clustering solutions.
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and LVM administration.
• Experience with VMware and exposure to AWS/Azure environments.
• Strong understanding of patching, vulnerability remediation, compliance, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and IaC practices.
• Strong L3 troubleshooting, project implementation, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• IBM MQ experience is an added advantage.
