The Opportunity
- Install, configure, and maintain Unix-based systems and servers.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular system upgrades and patches to maintain security and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support network and application infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Your Background
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Unix System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
