Key Responsibilities:
System Administration
- Perform system administration and maintenance in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of Sun Solaris servers and Linux-based servers
- Perform system upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components
- Implement operating system and product-specific security hardening and patches
- Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (systems)
- Monitor expiry and perform renewal of system passwords and certificates
- Implement a schedule of system backups and database archive operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (systems) and conduct regular disaster recovery testing and component switch over exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment
- Manage the application User Acceptance Test (UAT) and upkeep the use of UAT environment
- Document middleware platforms and related infrastructure as directed with respect to functionality, maintenance, and administration.
- Provides technical support and guidance (level 3) to end-users, and other IT resources.
- Provide second level system support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance to established Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose and implement measures to prevent recurrence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in system administration and support in Middleware, Unix and Linux systems
- Experience in working with SAN for Unix and Linux Platforms
- Experience in performing OS hardening and patching
- Experience with enterprise backup and system monitoring and management software
- Proficient in scripting for Unix and Linux-based environments to automate tasks
- Familiar with database administration and data centre operations will be an advantage
- Provide weekend and after office hours support for change implementation (for critical production services)

- 1st shift - 7am to 4pm (Mon-Fri)
- 2nd shift - 2pm to 11pm (Mon-Fri)
- 3rd shift - 10.30pm to 7.30am (Mon-Fri)
- 4th shift - 7.30am to 7.30pm (Sat-Sun)
- 5th shift - 7.30pm to 7.30am (Sat-Sun)
Professional Certifications
- Unix and Linux Certified System Administrator certifications
- Industry certification for public cloud administration preferred
