Underwriter (Treaty)

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor degree
• 5-10 years experience of P&C treaty reinsurance, particularly property treaty underwriting
• Experienced and knowledgeable in Asia Market, preferably China and Hong Kong
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and business partners
• Good interpersonal skills
• Organized and meticulous with the ability to multi-task
• Willing to travel

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities include but not limited to following:

• Underwrite and assist to manage the Treaty portfolio of his/her assigned markets/clients including but not limited to pricing and modelling, portfolio analysis, nat cat accumulation monitoring, credit control, administration, etc.
• Execute the underwriting plans and strategies of the assigned markets/clients to achieve target profitability of the assigned
• To ensure guideline compliance on business written
• To monitor treaty performance
• To assist in treaty marketing activities and develop client strategies to provide excellent client service
• To do research on the trends of reinsurance markets and participate in developing business strategies
• To conduct Ad-hoc projects as and when needed
