Job Description

As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating opportunities, mitigating risks and ensuring sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and underwriting complex risks associated with innovative projects, supply chains, partnerships and operational expansions
• Conducting thorough due diligence on technical, financial, regulatory and market factors
• Developing and refining underwriting guidelines, models and criteria tailored to emerging technologies and high-stakes environments
• Collaborating with engineering, legal, finance, and executive teams to structure deals, policies, or investment decisions that balance innovation with prudence
• Monitoring portfolios, identifying trends and recommending adjustments to optimize risk-return profiles
• Supporting compliance with evolving industry standards, insurance requirements and public company obligations
• Mentoring junior team members (for senior roles) and contributing to process improvements and team development

Multiple openings are available at Senior Underwriter, Underwriter and Associate Underwriter levels, allowing for candidates with varying experience to join this scaling team.

The Successful Candidate

• Experience: 2+ years (Associate) to 8+ years (Senior) in underwriting, risk analysis, insurance, project finance, or related fields. Experience in energy, technology, infrastructure, or high-tech manufacturing is highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment tools, and data interpretation. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., environmental, nuclear/energy safety) is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Advanced credentials (e.g., ARM, CPCU, or similar) preferred for senior roles.
• Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative setting. Passion for clean energy and sustainability is a strong advantage.
