Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently, including but not limited to:
- Thyroid and neck
- Abdomen and bladder
- Pelvis (male and female)
- Breast
- Testes
- Lumps and bumps
- Groin and hernia
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
- Vascular studies
- Ensure accurate image acquisition, optimisation, and preliminary assessment for clinical correlation.
- Confidently troubleshoot suboptimal scans, technical challenges, or complex cases.
- Communicate effectively with referring doctors when clarifications or discussions on findings are required.
- Maintain proper documentation, labelling, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation during procedures.
- Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and equipment care protocols.
- Support smooth clinic operations and collaborate with nurses, doctors, and administrative staff.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on ultrasound experience across general and vascular studies.
- Strong technical competence with the ability to work independently.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clinicians regarding scan quality or findings.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and patient-focused.
