Visual Designer for Data & Analytics outputs, specializing in Provider Management and Claims Risk & Opportunity. The candidate will play a key role in shaping user and data interactions for these data products, developing an understanding of user personas, their needs, and the required data experience.
Preferred Experiences
- Experience in healthcare or insurance domain is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using tools like Figma for Hi-Fi designs and prototyping, or other prototyping tools to create interactive prototypes.
- Ability to create detailed wireframes using tools like MIRO and Figma.
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles and experience in creating visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces. Familiarity with Design Systems.
- Knowledge of BI tools or technologies (e.g., Power BI or JavaScript data visualization libraries) to collaborate effectively with developers and understand design implementation.
- Familiarity with conducting usability tests and analyzing results to inform design decisions.
- Ability to structure and organize content effectively to ensure a logical flow for users.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for researching, socializing, and delivering design mock-ups for interactive data visualization (data storytelling and exploratory analytics).
- Ensure design outputs are aligned with AH Design and UI standards.
- Ensure proposed designs meet user needs, use cases, and workflows, applying user testing tools and data design principles when appropriate.
- Understand user personas, needs, and pain points, transforming concept and design briefs into detailed user UX usage stories. Communicate proposed designs for data storytelling and explain how users will navigate and interact with data to motivate action or answer specific business questions.
- Adopt a delivery-focused approach, owning design development timelines, and proactively seeking user feedback. For example, for new view development, the Senior UI Designer should propose the number of clarification sessions, design iterations, and goals for each product development sprint.
- Develop data visualization designs with structured navigation flow and information architecture, e.g., documenting a navigation map, information hierarchy, or related forms of information design when necessary.
- Work independently with stakeholders, including Product Managers, SMEs, BI & front-end developers, to implement and verify design builds.
