We are seeking an experienced Udupi cook specializing in authentic South Indian vegetarian dishes. The candidate will be responsible for preparing traditional items such as dosa, idli, vada, sambar, chutneys, and meals while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook authentic Udupi-style dishes (dosa, idli, vada, upma, pongal, sambar, rasam, chutneys, etc.)
- Manage dosa station efficiently (batter consistency, timing, plating)
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant standards
- Maintain proper hygiene and food safety practices
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory (ingredients, spices, vegetables)
- Assist in menu planning and introducing new dishes when required
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
- Work closely with kitchen staff for smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work area
