Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role based in Singapore for Tutors specializing in K1 to Primary 4 English, Mathematics, Chinese, and/or Science. The tutor will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with MCE curricula and learning objectives, adapting materials to suit different learning styles and abilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching resources, conducting small group or one-to-one sessions, and using formative assessments to monitor student progress. The tutor will provide constructive feedback to learners and communicate key updates to parents or caregivers when required. The role also involves maintaining a positive and safe classroom environment, keeping accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborating with the academic team to refine teaching approaches and materials.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter knowledge and teaching skills in one or more areas: K1–P4 English, Mathematics, Chinese, and/or Science.
  • Ability to design and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning materials that support different learning needs.
  • Effective classroom management, including maintaining a supportive learning environment and encouraging learner participation.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and parents or caregivers.
  • Patience, empathy, and a learner-centered mindset, with a genuine interest in supporting young learners academic and personal growth.
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience with early childhood or primary-level learners in a classroom or enrichment setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's early childhood and primary school curriculum, assessment practices, or similar international curricula is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Education, Early Childhood, Language, Mathematics, Science, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications or training in pedagogy are beneficial.
  • Availability to work on-site in Singapore during after-school hours, weekends, or school holidays as scheduled
