Tuition Teacher (Primary Chinese Language)

Job Scope:

1. Curriculum & Lesson Delivery

• Plan and conduct interactive tuition lessons tailored to the Primary 1-6 level, aligning with the MOE Singapore syllabus.

• Teach core subjects including Higher Chinese / Standard Chinese, Comprehension, Composition, Oral Communication, and Vocabulary/Grammar.

• Utilize a variety of teaching aids, digital tools, and interactive methods to make learning enjoyable and effective.

• Coordinating or leading events or workshops when needed.

2. Student Progress Monitoring

• Conduct regular assessments (quizzes, tests) to track student progress and identify knowledge gaps.

• Provide constructive feedback to students on their strengths and areas for improvement.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student attendance, performance, and development.

3. Homework & Practice Design

• Assign targeted homework and practice exercises to reinforce classroom learning.

• Mark assignments promptly and provide detailed explanations for errors.

4. Initiative Guidance & Motivation

• Inspire interest in the Chinese language and culture among young students.

• Build confidence and good learning habits in students, especially those struggling with the subject.

Job Requirements

1. Qualifications & Background

• Effectiveness in Chinese reading and writing.

• Prior teaching experience (local/regional primary school or tuition center) is an advantage.

2. Teaching Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children.

• Patient, responsible, and passionate about education.

• Creative in lesson planning and able to adapt teaching styles to different student levels and personalities.

3. Technical & Logistical

• Proficient in using online teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom) and digital tools for content creation.
