Our client, an independent trust company, is seeking a Trust Business Support Officer to join their Business Development team.
Job Description
- Assist superior in attending to new business queries via emails, calls and meetings
- Preparation of Fee Proposals for new business
- Attend meetings with prospective clients
- On-boarding of new clients
- Collation and preparation of client on-boarding forms and KYC documents
- Liaison with Compliance and relevant internal parties in relation to client's on-boarding
- File setup and ensure smooth transition of new client accounts from Business Development to Client Services Team
- Liaison with external parties, including but not limited to, bankers, clients, referral agents/ intermediaries and lawyers where required
- Maintaining records of sales pipeline for weekly reporting
- Ad-Hoc projects, as required
- Assist Client Services Team with fund set up for existing Fund Managers
- Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in wealth planning, trust, and other fiduciary services. Working experience is unit trust administration is preferred.
- Professionally qualified - STEP or ICSA or studying towards the qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge in trust, tax, accounting, and company law.
- Able to assist in reviewing trust and related documentation.
- Proactive, responsible, attention to detail, strong decision-making and organizational skills, strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills, good presentation, and negotiation skills.
