What you'll be doing
- Oversee the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including scheduling, routing and monitoring of deliveries and also deployment of vehicles
- Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training and performance feedback
- Analyse transportation data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments to address any issues
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to the management team
- Participate in the development and implementation of transportation strategies and policies
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet operations
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and strategic planning skills
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting to support operational improvements
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to effectively manage a team
- Familiarity with relevant transport regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
