TRANSPORT PLANNER

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transport Planner to coordinate daily trucking operations, optimize fleet deployment, and ensure efficient execution of delivery and collection schedules. The role requires strong operational planning capability within general & DG cargo transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily delivery and collection jobs to drivers

• Optimize route planning to maximize fleet utilization and minimize idle time

• Monitor truck movements and ensure on-time performance

• Liaise with customers, operations team, and drivers on job instructions and schedule changes

• Arrange port bookings (Airport & KD)

• Handle ad-hoc transport requests and urgent deliveries

• Ensure compliance with LTA regulations, port requirements, and company SOP

• Maintain proper documentation and job records

• Monitor fuel usage, overtime, and trip productivity

  Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transport planning / trucking coordination (freight forwarding industry preferred)

  • Familiar with Singapore road routes, port procedures, and depot operations

  • Knowledge of forwarding workflow

  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills

  • Good communication skills to manage drivers and customers

  • Able to work under pressure in fast-paced logistics environment
