Job Description

Lead, TMS - Fairprice Supplychain

Role Overview: As a Lead, TMS at FairPrice Supply chain, you will oversee and lead the technical implementation and operational management of our Transport Management System (TMS) solutions and coordinate with product manager to support our unified TMS program. Your expertise will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance within our supply chain operations. You will manage a team of TMS Specialists and collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Product Head to align our TMS strategies with broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Management:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of the TMS system, including configuration, customization, and upgrades.
  • Ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of the TMS across all facilities.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of TMS Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective system use and problem resolution.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development within the team.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and configure the TMS system to align with operational goals.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Product Head to integrate TMS strategies with overall supply chain initiatives.

4. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of business flows to ensure quality delivery for production use.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of system performance.

5. Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for geographically distributed Operations Managers regarding TMS system issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain support documentation and training materials.

6. Operational Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyze operational challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency within the fresh food distribution centers.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to maximize productivity and accuracy.

7. Data Management and Reporting:

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting and data analysis purposes.
  • Generate regular performance reports and provide insights to support decision-making.

8. Industry Best Practices:

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in TMS technology to drive innovation and optimization within the supply chain.
  • Actively participate in TMS migration projects and provide expertise to ensure seamless transitions.

9. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide training and support on TMS system usage.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication channels between the TMS team and other departments.

Requirements

1. Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

2. Professional Experience:

  • 6-9 years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting Transport Management Software solutions, preferably the modern TMS experience (Manhattan or blue yonder)
  • Prior experience in managing and leading a team of technical specialists or analysts.

3. Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS SQL with experience in developing and optimizing queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and transport management products is preferred.

4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

  • o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess operational barriers and propose effective solutions.
  • o Experience in troubleshooting software business systems and identifying root causes of issues.

5. Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with E-Commerce industry practices and operations management concepts is a plus.

6. Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

7. Flexibility and Commitment:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel when required.
