The Transfer Pricing (TP) Manager will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of Xendit's transfer pricing framework across all group entities. The role sits at the intersection of tax, finance, legal, and the commercial business, and is accountable for ensuring that intercompany transactions across the group are priced on an arm's length basis, are appropriately documented, and remain defensible under audit in each operating jurisdiction.
This is a hands-on, sole-contributor role with significant scope: you will partner directly with senior Finance, Legal, Treasury, and business leaders, and will be the internal subject matter expert managing relationships with external tax advisors across the region.
5-7 years of experience in transfer pricing domain
Experience with Big 4 in handling transfer pricing for large enterprises
Exposure to South East Asia market and tax landscape
Experience in working with leadership and other stakeholders closely
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships effortlessly
Excellent in presenting business impact of your work and decision to business stakeholders
Own the preparation, review, and timely filing of TP documentation across all group entities, including Master File, Local Files, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) where applicable
Ensure compliance with TP regulations and disclosure requirements in Indonesia (DGT), Singapore (IRAS), the Philippines (BIR), Thailand (RD), Malaysia (IRBM), and other relevant jurisdictions
Maintain a centralised TP documentation calendar and ensure all filing deadlines, contemporaneous documentation requirements, and statutory disclosures are met
Track regulatory developments - including BEPS 2.0 / Pillar Two implementation across SEA - and assess implications for the group
Review existing TP policies across group entities
Conduct Functional, Asset, and Risk (FAR) analysis
Recommend arm's length pricing models
Provide guidance to align policies with business operations and substance
Identify, classify, and maintain a register of all material intercompany transactions across the group, including service fees, royalties, financing arrangements, cost recharges, and IP-related flows
Partner with Legal to ensure intercompany agreements are in place, kept current, and accurately reflect actual conduct, FAR, and the agreed pricing methodology
Work with Finance and Treasury to operationalise TP policy through proper invoicing cadence, mark-ups, true-ups, and year-end adjustments
Review benchmarking studies and economic analyses to support pricing positions
Lead the TP aspects of tax audits, queries, and controversy matters across jurisdictions, working with external counsel where appropriate
Prepare and review responses to tax authority information requests, position papers, and supporting analyses
Evaluate and, where commercially sensible, drive Advance Pricing Arrangement (APA) or Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) initiatives
Manage and quantify TP risk exposures and ensure they are reflected in the group's tax provisioning and uncertain tax position assessments
Support the TP workstream of M&A activity, including diligence, integration, and post-acquisition rationalisation of intercompany flows
Advise on the TP implications of new entity set-ups, entity rationalisations, and changes to operating models
Partner with the business and HR to assess and document economic substance - people, functions, decision-making - in each operating jurisdiction
Advise on the TP treatment of new product launches, licensing flows, and cross-border service arrangements
Act as the internal point of contact for all TP matters and educate Finance, Legal, Treasury, and business stakeholders on TP principles and operational requirements
Manage external tax advisor relationships across jurisdictions, including scoping, fee negotiation, deliverable quality, and budget tracking
Prepare and present TP updates, risk dashboards, and policy proposals to senior management, the CFO, and the Audit Committee where required
