Overview of Role/Principle Responsibilities:
The Transaction Services Analyst 2 role sits within the APAC Transaction Services function and is responsible for providing end ‑ to ‑ end oversight, control, and assurance across operational activities supporting the investment lifecycle.
The role covers multiple operational domains including Trade Operations, Asset Servicing, Cash Operations, and Derivative Services (OTC & ETD). Day ‑ to ‑ day transaction processing is primarily performed by offshore teams; the onshore role is focused on oversight, risk management, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
The role holder will act as a key control point between Investment, offshore operations, custodians, counterparties, and internal stakeholders, ensuring service delivery meets agreed standards and risks are proactively identified and managed.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Provide day ‑ to ‑ day oversight of offshore Transaction Services activities across the full transaction lifecycle.
- Monitor exceptions, breaks, fails, and aged items, ensuring timely investigation, escalation, and resolution.
- Act as an escalation point for complex or material operational issues, ensuring appropriate communication and follow ‑ through.
- Ensure activities are performed in line with documented procedures, service level agreements, and control frameworks.
Risk & Control
- Identify, assess, and escalate operational risks and control weaknesses.
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents, recurring issues, and service failures.
- Support internal and external audits, risk reviews, and regulatory requests.
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked, and closed in accordance with governance standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with:
- Investment teams
- Front Office support functions
- Offshore operations teams
- Custodians, counterparties, and vendors
- Act as a trusted contact for operational queries requiring judgement, coordination, and subject matter expertise.
- Represent Transaction Services in service reviews, issue calls, and cross ‑ functional forums.
Service Management & Performance
- Monitor service delivery against KPIs, SLAs, and quality metrics.
- Review management information, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support training, knowledge transfer, and capability uplift within offshore teams.
Change & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to departmental and firm ‑ wide initiatives and projects, including:
- Operating model changes
- Process re ‑ engineering
- New product or market launches
- System enhancements and migrations
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardisation in partnership with offshore teams.
- Review and update procedures, controls, and documentation as required.
Skills and Behaviours Required
- Relevant experience within Asset Management Operations, covering one or more of:
- Trade Operations
- Asset Servicing / Corporate Actions
- Cash & FX Operations
- Derivative Operations (OTC and/or ETD)
- Strong understanding of the end ‑ to ‑ end investment lifecycle and associated operational risks.
- Experience working within an onshore–offshore operating model with accountability for oversight rather than execution.
- Awareness of operational risk, control frameworks, and governance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem ‑ solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder confidence.
- Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Proactive, resilient, and open to change with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong team player committed to the success of the broader Transaction Services function.
The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications That Will Help
- Experience on the Aladdin system would be beneficial but not a requirement.
