Job Description

..Preferably able to start work on 1 - 5 October 2026 or earlier

Birds of Paradise is Singapore's only Michelin Guide-selected gelato brand, known for our botanical flavours and gelato experiences across 7 boutiques islandwide. As we strengthen our foundations for future growth, we're looking for a Training & Quality Manager to lead and further develop the training and quality-assurance framework that keeps every boutique delivering the same world-class experience - working closely with operational teams to uphold the standards Birds of Paradise is known for.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead our training curriculum - onboarding, technical skills, service, leadership, and certification - across all boutiques

  • Review and consolidate training materials and quality practices into a structured framework, standardising where practices vary and closing gaps.

  • Deliver hands-on training and coaching for boutique teams, including leading training for new boutique openings from pre-opening through stabilisation

  • Develop boutique managers and supervisors into effective internal trainers and coaches

  • Run and improve our audit framework - covering food safety, service, store operations, and brand standards - and drive corrective actions to closure

  • Own customer feedback management, working cross-departmentally to resolve issues systematically

  • Help build a training and quality framework robust enough to support our future expansion

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 6+ years of experience in leading training, operational excellence, or quality assurance, ideally in F&B, hospitality, or retail

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering operational training, train-the-trainer programmes, and assessments

  • Experience conducting operational audits

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills

  • A hands-on, high-integrity approach, with the resilience to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment

  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Education, HR, Hospitality, or related field adult-training/facilitation certification preferred
