Trainee Teacher (Place-and-Train For Infant Care)

About the Programme:

Join our Place-and-Train (P&T) programme and kickstart your career in early childhood education. This structured programme combines on-the-job training with sponsored professional qualifications, preparing you to become a fully qualified infant care and/or childcare teacher while gaining hands-on experience in a preschool environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in daily classroom activities and routines.

• Assist in caring for children, including supervising play, routines, and basic hygiene.

• Observe and learn from experienced teachers to develop foundational teaching and classroom management skills.

• Participate in training workshops, assessments, and sponsored diploma/qualification courses.

• Assist in maintaining classroom tidiness, cleaning toys and Montessori teaching materials.

• Contribute to school events, activities, and other initiatives.

Requirements:

Completed Secondary 4 education, AND

Obtain ONE of the following:

A credit in GCE O-level English (EL1) OR

An English Language Acceptable Alternatives (ELAA) OR

An average score of 5 for the Workplace Literacy (WPL) Comprehensive Series, consisting of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing, AND obtain a minimum score of 5 for the Writing component.
