Trailer Truck Driver

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is secure and properly balanced.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes using GPS and other navigation tools.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and mileage.
• Complete and submit required documentation, such as delivery receipts and invoices.
• Provide excellent customer service by being polite and professional.
• Respond to and manage any emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns.
• Keep in regular contact with the dispatcher to update on progress and any issues.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 4/ 5 driving license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver.
• Strong knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Basic knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
