Operate trailer or container trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety and traffic regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate trailer or container trucks to transport goods safely between ports (PSA / Tuas) and warehouses
- Collect and deliver containers according to assigned schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Load, secure, and unload cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including brakes, tyres, and lights, to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
- Comply with Singapore traffic laws and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment
- Report vehicle defects promptly and assist with basic vehicle maintenance to minimize downtime
- Prepare and submit accurate delivery documents and transport records for operational tracking
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 driving license
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience driving trailers or container trucks
- Familiarity with Singapore roads and port operations
- Willingness to work shifts, night duties, and overtime
- Maintain a clean or acceptable driving record
- Demonstrate responsibility, punctuality, and safety-conscious behavior
