Trading Technical Operations Engineer

• Monitoring production trading alerts, resolving them where possible and escalating them otherwise.
• Coordinate production incidents when they arise and provide clear handover when needed.
• Participating in trading on call rota.
• Participating in occasional weekend work for internal and/or external changes.
• Deploy, maintain, and monitor a suite of proprietary trading applications.
• Providing first-line support for our trading infrastructure projects which will involve close collaboration with the Quant Developer teams.
• Working on automation of the work needed for all kinds of trading operations tasks, such as monitoring, deployment, high availability and resiliency.
• Collaborating with multiple teams and functions (internal as well as external) to facilitate our response to changes and incidents as needed.

Job Requirements

• Technical degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant field.
• Linux experience in a production environment.
• Strong grasp of the technical operations of complex enterprise systems.
• Experience with Python and Bash scripting comprehend and debug unfamiliar scripts.
• Experience with Git or similar repo management tools.
• Able to troubleshoot technical issues in complex systems involving software and hardware.
• Experience in the technical operation of trading systems (pre, live, and post trade).
• Overall experience: mid level - senior.
