Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commodity contracts and their obligations.
- Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and external parties, facilitating internal alignment for contract signing.
- Plan and execute shipments in accordance with contractual agreements, ensuring proper interpretation of terms.
- Oversee payments and receivables, including Letters of Credit and other financial instruments as stipulated by contracts.
- Assist in cargo planning, including vessel nomination, shipping advisories, insurance declarations, and agent appointments for port operations.
- Manage shipping documents and payments, ensuring accurate invoice issuance by suppliers.
- Issue provisional, preliminary final, and final invoices in a timely manner, adhering to contractual terms.
- Settle accounts receivable and payable, including details regarding laytime and freight differentials.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers while identifying potential opportunities and assessing risks.
- Collaborate with various departments, including commercial, risk, finance, and shipping, to resolve issues effectively.
- Propose enhancements for improving the effectiveness and productivity of trade execution processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in International Trade, Maritime Studies, Finance, Logistics, Business Management, or Economics.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work or internship experience.
- Quick learner with basic marketing analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong team player with a collaborative attitude and mindset geared toward continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent and effective communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
