Job Description:
- Calculate, liaise, and negotiate with either the suppliers or buyers on the cargo operation of shipments
- Coordinate with the Supplier and buyer on the required documents after the shipment is completed to ensure these documents are issued on time and accurately
- involve in preparing paperwork for shipment operation and checking loading documents
- Preparing management reporting based on Bloomberg/ Reuters/ Platts statistics record
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, or a related field. Maritime Major will be considered
- Knowledge of Incoterms, UCP, etc.
- Prior experience in the maritime/shipping industry is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word) Coding skills are an advantage
- Understand the structure of the trading department and the cooperation with suppliers, buyers, and other departments in one shipment operation
- Get acquainted with shipment operations by doing back-office work such as statistic records, demurrage calculation
- Prepare paperwork such as checking the loaded documents, preparing the document instructions, and surveyor appointment
- Negotiate the contract contents and prepare the contract with the buyer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
