We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trading Assistant to support our portfolio managers and trading teams in the seamless execution and administration of trades. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the trade lifecycle from execution to settlement.
Previous experience in trade booking, trade operations, or a related financial support role is preferred. Familiarity with trading systems and hedge fund operations is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately book and reconcile trades across multiple asset classes and products
- Liaise with traders, operations, and counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies
- Monitor and ensure the timely settlement of trades
- Support pre- and post-trade operational processes
- Assist in maintaining trade-related data integrity within internal systems
- Coordinate with internal teams on trade breaks and investigate root causes
- Support trading systems, including troubleshooting and issue escalation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in trade booking, trade operations, or a financial support role preferred
- Familiarity with trading systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Eze, Calypso) and hedge fund operations is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience with macros or scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python) is advantageous
