Job Description
MSSG is looking for a dynamic and skilled application support engineer with 6-8 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you'll will be ensuring that our trading applications run smoothly, and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution. You will get opportunity to maintain and improve applications within the front end trading ecosystem. You'll work closely with users, vendors to solve problems and make our applications even better.
This is a 12 month contract role with a potential chance for renewal and conversion. This is a night shift role (Mon Fri; 8pm-5am/ 9pm-6pm). Please note that the timings are subject to change, depending on product type and daylight savings.
Job Scope
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues ensuring minimal downtime and a great user experience with vendor.
- Collaborate with wider technology teams and end-users to gather requirements, understand their needs, and implement effective solutions including vendor management.
- Automate repetitive tasks, and reduce Day2 BAU toils.
- Coordinate overall testing, including post-deployment verifications.
- Create SOPs for troubleshooting
- Keep an eye of application's performance, identify areas for improvement, and take proactive steps to prevent future issues.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks such as generating reports and providing custom data analysis upon request.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in technical support with trading or financial services applications.
- Experienced in ASP.NET, FIX Engine and Web Services (IIS, Websphere etc)
- Experienced in Database management like MSSQL,Oracle and MySQL
- Experienced in managing OS like Windows 2019 and above, RHEL8.x and above
- Experienced in managing applications with zero trust and other security principles
- Experienced in defining the APM matrices and other relevant monitoring matrices
- Experience with automation tools and scripting language to improve operations efficiency
- Strong problem solving abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a team in a dynamic environment
- Keen interest in financial markets.
