Company Overview:
Our Single-Family Office specializes in direct investments across public equities, primarily in the US market. We focus on generating substantial returns through strategic investments in US and HK stocks, bonds, and foreign currencies. Our team is dedicated to conducting thorough market and economic research to inform our investment strategies.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position is a trader that works closely with the research team to evaluate investment thesis, challenge assumptions, assess market expectations and determine best trade expressions. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable in discussing fundamental catalyst, positioning, technical levels and options.
Responsibilities:
Convert research ideas into actionable trade expressions, including long equity, short equity, pair trades, baskets, options, or waitlist ideas
Assess whether an idea is best expressed through outright equity, options, relative value, event-driven trades, or no trade at all
Define entry points, exit points, stop-loss levels, target prices, and position-sizing logic
Identify key downside scenarios and kill criteria before trades are initiated
Recommend when to add, trim, hedge, or exit positions
Help build a repeatable post-mortem process for both winning and losing trades
Monitor market regime, technical setup, sector rotation, positioning, options activity, short interest, liquidity, and catalyst timing
Understand how macro, rates, volatility, and factor moves may affect individual equity trades
Work with research analysts to challenge thesis quality, catalyst relevance, market expectations, and timing
Read earnings calls, company filings, investor presentations, transcripts, and market commentary where relevant
Help translate fundamental research into tradeable setups
Participate in thesis reviews, red-team sessions, and post-mortems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from internationally recognized universities. Relevant financial certifications are highly preferred
CFA Charterholder status is advantageous
Deep understanding of investment market principles, practices, and techniques
Previous experience in direct investment transactions or startup environments will be beneficial
At least 5 years of relevant experience as a trader, with proficiency in the stock exchanges of the US and HK markets
Proven track record of working with Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) / High Net Worth (HNW) individuals or in Family Office settings
